Dr. Timo Strohmann

Timo is Assistant Professor at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of Münster and Flow Field Lead for AI & Products at the Flow Factory.

He investigates how AI-based applications can be designed to transform processes in the financial sector in a more efficient and innovative way. Timo's research focuses on human-machine interaction, virtual companions, design science research and digital transformation. He is particularly interested in user-centered design methods and the development of sustainable and empathetic AI systems.

In previous projects, he has worked on developing virtual assistants to support civic engagement and professional development, as well as AI-supported methods to enhance creative potential in companies. He also founded and led a digitalization consultancy for three years, with a strong focus on the design and transformation of digital infrastructures.

His PhD at TU Braunschweig focused on designing trustworthy human-AI relationships. He maintains an ongoing interest in innovative approaches to synthesizing and practically applying design knowledge.
