Flow Forum: Start-Up Edition
04.11.2025 | Flow Factory Event Space – Leonardo-Campus 11, 48149 Münster
How do you successfully lead a start-up to exit? And how do you manage the transition from start-up to enterprise? We want to answer these questions at the Flow Forum in the Start-Up Edition with Marc Bober, Managing Director of Web Computing. In a relaxed atmosphere, we want to discuss these topics together and give students insights into life at a start-up. In this way, we hope to create personal connections and strengthen the long-term exchange between students and practitioners via the Flow Factory. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a short welcome by the Flow Factory team and a brief introduction to Flow Factory. We would then like to initiate a moderated fireside chat between Marc Bober and a representative of Flow Factory, which will also invite students to ask questions. Following the official part, there will be time for networking over cool drinks.

Flow Forum: From Student to Executive
How do you actually become a board member? And what does day-to-day management look like? At our first Flow Forum, Frank Demmer, future CEO of LBS, answered these and many more questions. In front of over 40 interested students, he gave personal insights into his career, from the beginnings to the top of the company. He not only described his decisive career steps, but also spoke about current challenges and future strategies at LBS.
A key topic was the use of artificial intelligence and the strategic approach that LBS is pursuing in this area. The company's competitive situation and how LBS intends to position itself in the market in the future were also discussed in depth.
Afterwards, there was an opportunity for personal discussions over drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. We would like to thank Frank Demmer for his time and the exciting impressions, and the students for their interest and the lively discussion.
Flow Factory at the WI Summer Festival
On July 2, the Flow Factory was represented at the summer festival of the Information Systems Student Council (ISSC) - a long-standing tradition that brings together students, researchers and alumni of the University of Münster and the Institute of Information Systems.
At our stand, everything revolved around personal exchange and the presentation of our course offerings for the coming winter semester. Numerous visitors came to find out about current courses, project formats and opportunities to join the Flow Factory, and were delighted to receive our popular Flow Factory socks as a small give-away.
A big thank you to the ISSC for the successful organization and to everyone who visited us. We look forward to the coming semester and meeting lots of new faces!

#DU2025 - Flow Factory at the Data Unplugged
10.04.2025-11.04.2025 | MCC Halle Münsterland
On April 10 and 11, Flow Factory was represented at Data Unplugged 2025 - one of the leading events for data & AI in Germany.
We welcomed numerous visitors to our Flow Factory stand on both days. Particularly pleasing: the great interest in personal exchange - and in our Flow Factory socks, which turned out to be a popular give-away.
We were also able to provide exciting impulses in the lecture program. On the first day, Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke and Tabitha Kleine took part in a panel on the Dialog Stage. Together with Marcus Køhnke Lindstrøm and Ann-Christin Kortenbrede, they shared their perspectives on the panel “AI in the financial industry” and discussed opportunities, challenges and practical application examples.
On the second day of the event, Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke spoke in the keynote speech “Process Science Meets Business” about the interface between research and practice and how data-based process analyses can improve business decisions.
An episode of the podcast “Alles Digital?!” (Everything Digital?!) by Finanz Informatik was recorded at Data Unplugged. Jonas Ross talks to Jan vom Brocke about the Flow Factory on the topic of “How is AI changing the financial sector, Jan vom Brocke?” Listen to podcast (in German)
We look back on two inspiring days full of new ideas, valuable contacts and exciting discussions. Thank you to everyone who was there!
